Meet the Team at Adobe Dentistry

Dr. Anne Stolcis

Anne Stolcis has been practicing dentistry in Tucson for over 20 years. She graduated in the top 5% of her class at the University of Colorado School of Dentistry. She is originally from Colorado where she was born and raised. Her father was a dentist and, from an early age, Dr. Stolcis dreamed of becoming dental care professional with her own practice where she could provide her patients with state-of-the-art dental care. With the purchase of Dr. Anderson’s practice, her long-time dream has come true.

Dentistry is a dynamic field – which is one of the primary reasons Dr. Stolcis loves her job. Because the field is consistently changing and benefiting from advances in technology, she devotes much time and dedication to her continuing education. Improvements in technology mean improved oral health and more beautiful smiles for her patients. In addition to more traditional continuing education, Dr. Stolcis is honored to be a part of the Southern Arizona Study Club. From 2005 to 2009 and 2019-present, she has participated in this elite group which is dedicated to learning new advances in implant and cosmetic dentistry. She is also a member of the Southern Arizona Dental Association and American Dental Association.

Dr. Stolcis is deeply committed to the Tucson community. She believes strongly in philanthropy and gives her spare time to the Kiwanis de Amigos club (member since 2004 president from 2005-2006), and the “Give Kids a Smile” event held throughout Arizona. Additionally, Dr. Stolcis has proudly provided care to disadvantaged youth through the Tucson Unified School District’s Greyline Program.

Monica Basurto, Office Manager

Monica came to Adobe Dentistry in 2022. Dr. Stolcis worked with Monica in her first job in Tucson in 1998! Monica is an experienced and dedicated dental professional who has been in the field for over 25 years. Monica has experience in both corporate and private practice settings. She spent 15 years in Phoenix where she managed a small practice. Monica loves helping patients feel welcome and cared for. Monica is born and raised in Tucson and when the opportunity at Adobe presented itself, she was excited to "come home." She has two children Stacey and Adam. She enjoys spending time with her family and cooking amazing food.

Barbie Montaño, Dental Assistant

Barbie Montaño is a native Tucsonan with 20 years of experience as a dental assistant. She graduated from Pima Medical Institute’s dental assisting program with high honors. Barbie furthered her education by obtaining her x-ray certification and has completed several continuing education classes with the most recent ones focusing on implants. Barbie loves helping patients feel better about their smiles and thus feel better about themselves. She loves cheering up the occasional grouchy patient and helping the fearful patient relax. Barbie has been assisting Dr. Stolcis for 13 years and trusts her professionalism and admires her compassion. Barbie is married and has four children. In her spare time, she loves to read and travel to Rocky Point.

Karin Unger, Dental Hygienist

Karin Unger joined the Adobe team in the spring of 2014. Karin was born in Germany and has been a dental hygienist for over 20 years. She attended Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio, where she received the Academic Excellence Award and the Golden Scaler Award for the best clinician. Karin is a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association’s national and local chapters and volunteers twice a week at the local Humane Society as a volunteer dog walker. She has been married for 25 years and is a mom to two dogs. She and her husband Rick also have been sponsoring a child in Zaire, Africa for 10 years. Karin looks forward to helping you keep a healthy and beautiful smile.

Eryka Jimenez
Dental Assistant

Eryka Jimenez came to Adobe Dentistry in the summer of 2020. Eryka has over 10 years of combined dental front office and dental assisting experience and received her dental radiology certification from NAU. Eryka is married with two beautiful girls. She enjoys spending time with her family going for motorcycle rides and exploring the great outdoors!

Karin Unger
Dental Hygenist

Karin Unger has technically retired (as of 2021) but we won't leave her alone so you might see her helping out now and then. She joined the Adobe team in the spring of 2014. Gina Romero
Dental Hygienist

Gina was born and raised in Tucson. She is a graduate of Tucson High School and Pima Community College where she received her dental hygienist degree. Gina has a daughter and two grandchildren who keep her very busy. She worked with Dr. Stolcis as a dental assistant off and on for 10 years before joining the Adobe team part time. Gina cares deeply for her patients and loves providing an essential preventative service for them. She is thrilled to be joining the Adobe team - Fridays will never be the same!

Kathy Hazen
Dental Hygienist

Kathy was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin and has been a dental hygienist for 30 years. She is a graduate of Northwest Technical College where she received her dental hygienist degree. She also has a Bachelor degree in human resources. Kathy is a die hard Green Bay Packers fan and has a passion for travel. Kathy enjoys helping her patients keep a healthy smile.
